Ashok Leyland sales drops margnially in Aug 09

Total production dropped by 28 per cent to 4,685 units from 6,568 units. M&HCV Passenger domestic sales dropped to 1,281 units from 1,594 units and exports dropped to 216 from 376 units. Total production dropped to 1,573 from 2,015. M&HCV Goods sales in both domestic and export market has reported a nine per cent and 83 per cent respectively. Domestic sales stood at 2,880 units as compared to 2,633 units, while exports increased to 323 units from 176 units. Total M&HCV sales dropped to 4,161 units from 4,227 units. LCV segment sales in the domestic market increased to 72 from two and exports stood at 12 from 42.
